About Me

Welcome to the Rogers ISD website.  My name is Joe Craig.  On November 17, 2016, I was named the Superintendent of Rogers ISD. I am VERY excited about this new opportunity and plan to work hard to make a GREAT district even better.  I pride myself as a relationship person and look forward to getting to know everyone that makes up the Rogers ISD family (students, staff, parents, and community members).

Prior to coming to Rogers, I worked as an administrator at Academy ISD for the past 16 years.  I spent 3 years as Assistant HS Principal, 4 years as the HS Principal, and since 2008 I have served as Assistant Superintendent. Prior to Academy, I spent 5 years teaching and coaching at Victoria ISD.  Prior to Victoria, I served as an graduate assistant and assistant coach for the men's basketball team at the University of Alaska Anchorage for 5 years.

My wife, Michele, works at Educational Service Center Region 12 in Waco as a educational specialist for students with visual impairments.  She has been working with visually impaired students for the past 15 years, the last 3 at the ESC 12.

We have two sons, Zach (18) and Jaxon (13).  Zach will be graduating this year and has been accepted to the University of Texas - Arlington.  He plans to pursue a degree in Accounting & Finance.   Jaxon is a 7th grader and will be joining me in Rogers starting in January.  He is very active in sports.

Our family looks forward to joining the Rogers ISD family.
